Scientific Product
Founding Computational Scientist
Bring scientific judgement into the way technical tools are designed, built and used.
Apply for this roleThe role
Quodra is a workspace for technical presentations. Equations, code, charts and scientific models belong alongside the explanation, not in disconnected screenshots.
We need someone who can connect scientific rigour with product thinking: question the representations, shape the workflows and build examples that test the tools honestly. This is a hands-on product role, not a laboratory or advisory position.

Shape the scientific tools
Review equation authoring, parameters, plotting, circuits and simulations. Identify what is confusing, misleading or missing.
Make the underlying ideas coherent
Help define how models, notation, units, data and controls relate. Work with engineering and design to turn those decisions into usable workflows.
Build work worth learning from
Create real technical examples with explicit assumptions and checked results. Use them to guide product decisions, documentation and templates.
Education & research background
An MSc or PhD in physics, applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing or a related quantitative field is relevant to this work. Equivalent research or industry experience matters too.
We care about how you apply that background: working with models, questioning assumptions and making technical ideas understandable. Research, teaching and open-source work are all useful ways to demonstrate it.
You might be a good fit if
- You have a strong background in physics, engineering, applied mathematics or another quantitative field.
- You use scientific computing tools and can write Python.
- You notice when notation, units, visualisations or model assumptions are wrong.
- You can explain a technical idea clearly and enjoy improving the tools around it.
- You want to build with a small team while the product is still taking shape.
No single credential is the deciding factor. Show us the thinking and work behind it.
